How to Make Time for Yourself

Welcome to the holiday season, the most wonderful stressful time of the year. Yes it's great spending time with family and friends, but for a lot of people, rushing around buying and wrapping gifts, cooking, baking, cleaning, etc. can be a lot. Yes, believe it or not - you should literally schedule out some me-time. Because honestly, how else are you going to get it done? If you block off time on your calendar, even if it's just a half-hour each night before you go to bed, you'll get into a routine of self care and you'll feel more relaxed, rejuvenated and ready to take on whatever the next day brings.

Pour yourself a cup of coffee (or a glass of wine, whatever) and relax with a new favorite show. (Don't get me started on my thoughts about the Gilmore Girls revival). Lately, I've been obsessed with Westworld, Black Mirror, Stranger Things, and Twin Peaks.

Create a space within your house that's just for you. If you live by yourself, that could potentially be your whole house - my bed is an excellent example. Most of my room is chaotic, but I always keep my bed stocked with cozy blankets and pillows, decked out with fairy lights and usually a few snacks nearby.
