& She's Brave Brand Identity and Website

Background

For the rebrand of & She’s Brave, I wanted to focus on a more creative, holistic approach. As much as I loved the girly pinks and reds of my previous branding, I knew it wasn’t the right fit for my brand going forward as a creative studio. I chose a rich golden mustard color that I fell in love with, paired with a light dusty blue and accents of charcoal gray and white.

In my personal and creative life, I’ve always been fascinated by magic and celestial bodies, and I wanted to incorporate this imagery in a way that made sense with the new brand. I couldn’t figure out how to incorporate this in an organic way for the longest time, and was about to give up on the concept as a lost cause when I accidentally placed some of the star motifs over my wordmark and magic was made, pun very intended. Don’t you just love those happy accidents?

The coffee motif fell into place because I am and always will be constantly caffeinated, so it just made sense.

The Website

For the site, I wanted to transition away from focusing on the blog aspect of it, as it had been for so many years. Blogging will still be a big part of the brand going forward, but it’s no longer my main focus, so I wanted to make sure my site reflected what I felt were the important parts - namely, my services, previous work, and more about who I am and what I do.
